With the police until 5 rushed home picked up our tickets then dropped our two boy's off at Mum's house in Poole then raced to Pavilion Theatre in Bournemouth, not in the mood for comedy after the days events doubted we'd manage a laugh but tickets had been bought months before as a birthday present for my hubby who's birthday was on Easter Monday. Took our seats in the front row at 7.30, how wrong we were Ken Dodd was excrutiatingly funny from start to finish which incidently was at 1a.m. I've never laughed so much my jaw ached my neck ached in fact everything ached. Picked the boys up from Mum's at 1.30 bought chips in Bournemouth children fell asleep in the car took wrong turning out of Bournemouth so ended up going long way home but it did'nt matter we had Doddy on our minds got home at 3amish looked forward to a lie in next morning but children up before 7, I think they were getting their own back on us, hehe. We'll definatly be back again next year. I seen a fair amount of comedy but never before have I been so enjoyably entertained and thank you Ken for making a bad day into a great evening, it most certainly was "A Hapiness Show". On a brighter note. The recent rains have brought on the Treacle plants a treat. It was of course the "Happiness Show". Looking at Ken's schedule to Dec 99, it worries me that he'll work himself to death. It looks like a pretty punishing schedule.
